Success Story: Client Obtained Talent Status in France

Today, I accompanied a client to the prefecture to submit a file for Talent status under an innovative project. The client is changing their status from ‘Visitor’ to ‘Talent’, but this turned out to be a real quest.
There has been a persistent technical error in the system that complicates the processing of Talent status under innovative projects. This affects both those entering on a long-term visa and those changing status within France. Often, the system blocks the ability to submit a file online.
Today, even at the prefecture, they were unable to immediately unblock the system. However, we managed to reach the head of the department, who accepted the file and resolved the issue on the spot. The client was immediately issued the necessary documents.
This was especially important as the expiration date of their residence permit was tomorrow. Without the new document, they could have been left without proof of legal stay in France, which creates serious problems, especially when crossing the border.
Although the issue was resolved today, many foreigners face this problem. The technical service has not fixed the error, which has been known for a long time. Correspondence with support lasts for months, but no response is received.
In such situations, contacting the prefecture directly becomes the only real solution, but doing so without access to the prefecture is extremely difficult.
